Time in service: I joined the Rutledge Fire Co. On my 16th birthday, February 1st, 1977. In 2010 Morton and Rutledge Fire Companies merged to become Morton-Rutledge Fire Co. and I’m still an active firefighter here. 45 years and counting.
Background: I am a past Fire Chief and have multiple Firefighting and Rescue certifications including but not limited to, Fire I & Fire II National Pro Board certifications, Haz-Mat Operations National Pro-Board certification, Pa. Dept. of Health Basic Vehicle Rescue Technician, FEMA Incident command System 100,200,700 & 800, along with numerous other courses.
Why did they want to join MRFC: I joined the Fire Service at 16 years of age to help serve the community I grew up in and to help people that are in need, weather in my town or elsewhere.
About: I’m a Swarthmore High School graduate and like all kind of sports. I work for PECO Energy in the Electric Transmission & Distribution Dept. and have lived in Delaware County my entire life so far.
